When he and Stacey welcomed their first child in 2020, they doubled down on creating The Local Guys around family-first values. Early morning runs became his time to think, reset, and solve problems, while golf turned into a space for building relationships and strategy. Today, with over 100 franchise partners across Australia and New Zealand, Jarrad proves that it’s possible to grow something meaningful while still being present for the moments that matter—offering a powerful reminder for anyone at the start of their own franchise journey.

Shannon, our Operations Manager, is at the heart of setting every franchise partner up for success from day one. She leads all training with a focus on making things simple, practical, and easy to follow, so nothing feels overwhelming when starting out. What she enjoys most is seeing the transformation: people walk in unsure, and leave feeling confident, capable, and genuinely excited about their new venture. Beyond training, Shannon is constantly refining our systems, policies, and processes to ensure every franchise partner has a competitive edge in the market. For anyone beginning their journey, she’s a driving force behind turning uncertainty into confidence and momentum.

Ruby-Jade plays a pivotal role in turning ambition into action, guiding people through those early, often overwhelming stages of starting their own business. She works closely with individuals as they explore whether business ownership is right for them, offering clarity, support, and genuine care every step of the way. What drives her most is seeing that moment when someone takes the leap—leaving behind the security of a job to pursue something of their own, and then watching it all come to life. Shaun and Renee Goulding’s journey is a powerful example of turning uncertainty into opportunity. After Shaun was made redundant from a car factory in Adelaide, the pair took a leap and built their own pest control business from the ground up. As it grew, they brought on staff and quickly saw the impact their model could have in creating opportunities for others. That’s what led them to join forces with Jarrad and help develop our pest control division. Today, Shaun brings deep, hands-on expertise in the field, while Renee drives everything behind the scenes, supporting franchise partners to grow and succeed.
